Villa Imperia is a luxury 3 bedroom villa built on a hillside in the small village of Plaka near the famous resort of Elounda. It belongs in the Elounda Maris Villa Complex and offers superb views of th Spinalonga island, the Elounda Bay and the blue sea that invites you to surrender to daydreaming, far away from the bustling city life.
The elegance of the spacious and stylishly furnished 3-bedroom villa together with the warm and welcoming atmosphere create the feeling of refined luxury. The villa is surrounded by a rock and herb garden that spread their aromas in the air and has a private pool and spacious terraces.

A common drive way leads to all three villas (Villa Imperia, Villa Castro and Villa Mirabello) but each villa has its own private parking space.
As you enter the villa Imperia you’ll find an open plan area where the living room, dining area and the kitchen is. The living room has a balcony offering wonderful views or the sea and the island of Spinalonga.
Two steps lead up to the two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a bathroom with a shower. Both bedrooms have access to balconies.
Another staircase leads from the ground floor to the pool level where there is a master bedroom, one WC, and the wellness room with the Jacuzzi. The wellness room and the master bedroom have access to the terrace, pool and garden all offering breathtaking views of the Mirabello Gulf and the island of Spinalonga.
Each of the Elounda Maris Villas (Villa Imperia, Villa Castro and Villa Mirabello) has its own private swimming pool, terraces, lawn and herb garden, a BBQ and outdoor furnished areas.
The only difference between them is that Villa Imperia had a larger outdoor area, Villa Mirabello a slightly smaller one and Villa Castro the smallest of them.

The views of the sea, mountains and island of Spinalonga are stunning from all three villas.
We had a great week at the Villa with our 3 children (aged 9, 14 &16).
The views are breathtaking and the pool is the perfect place to take it all in! We were so pleasantly surprised by Plaka and all it had to offer for dining out - all walkable from the property. We all enjoyed the hill after having a big meal! I would recommend a hire car to explore the area.
Communication was fantastic and the biscuits, fruit, wine etc… was very much appreciated upon arrival. The place was spotless and a daily cleaning service was in place.
As another guest has previously suggested, the villa would benefit from a few more kitchen items for hungry children!! (Larger bowls for cereal and pasta, chopping boards etc..).
Overall, we had a fantastic week - thank you so much.

The property exceeded our expectations, with views even more stunning than the photos.
Check-in and check-out were seamless, with a key box allowing for stress-free late arrivals. The villa was spotless, beautifully presented, and exactly as pictured, featuring comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen.
Daily housekeeping kept everything immaculate and well stocked, including some welcome fridge essentials. The infinity pool, cleaned daily, was a standout feature with breathtaking sea views.
The host was friendly and responsive, even surprising us with delicious Greek doughnuts.
The location is excellent, just a five-minute walk to Plaka Village with its cafés, shops, and waterfront restaurants. Isla Beach Bar is only two minutes away, and a nearby supermarket adds extra convenience.
Overall, a five-star stay with beautiful surroundings and exceptional hospitality.
We would absolutely stay here again.

The villa is simply stunning - incredible views, very comfortable and a great location to walk into Plaka.
Antonis and Lokasti were great hosts. We had no reason to query anything however, they regularly checked we were enjoying our stay, and it was comforting to know they were at the end of a phone.
Plaka itself is beautiful - it’s peaceful, friendly, relatively quiet and has fantastic places to eat - we ate out most evenings and every meal was so good.
As mentioned in other reviews, the villa is reached by quite a steep drive, but it’s short and very walkable and should not deter you from the walk into Plaka.
In summary a stunning villa - we will be back !!

The apartment is excellent: a fully equipped and comfortable kitchen, including an oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and an outdoor barbecue. A luxurious living room with a large sofa, a smart TV and a stunning view. Two beautiful children's rooms with a wardrobe and a balcony. An entire master suite with a bathroom, shower and Jacuzzi. A short walk to a beautiful beach with pebbles. Within walking distance of a village with restaurants, shops, a supermarket and a boat trip to an island every 45 minutes. Amazing infinity pool looking over Plaka and Spinalonga. The gardens were beautiful too. Beautiful outdoor lighting in the evenings. The Villa was very spacious inside and well equipped in the kitchen. The beds were so comfy. The air conditioning inside was a blessing with unexpected high October temperatures. The daily housekeeping was very much appreciated. Daily towel change and clean sheets every day … brilliant. Plus she was so considerate and helpful. Plaka was easy to walk to. We spent 5 glorious days at Antonis’s place! The house is in a great location. Sweeping views of the water but a short walk to the beach. We found beach below to be so easy and casual. Short drive into town for restaurants, or a stroll. The walk to and from the beach is steep, but we managed just fine… even my 5 year old. The pool was the star of the show! Swam all day everyday. Daily housekeeping was a dream! My only feedback is that the kitchen needs plates, bowls, etc. Easy fix! We would definitely come again!

A fabulous Villa with gorgeous pool in Plaka. The perfect location for a family holiday in Crete. The Villa is a very easy short walk down to a great beach with super beach bar and restaurant as well as super swimming and water sports. We had an issue with a broken water pump at the Villa resulting in no water for 24hs. This was disappointing but I have to say that the owner as well as Antonis were brilliant and sorted the problem as quickly as possible, also refunding us for one days stay. Really nice people who genuinely care for their guests and will do everything to ensure you have a good stay. Lovely welcome package with essentials and a bottle of wine was really nice touch.

The villa is lovely. The view is beautiful and there are large outside spaces which are really well thought out. The villa has everything you could need. We had a fabulous week here. The pool is bigger than it looks in the photos. You do need a car. It is up a very steep hill. Plaka is a lovely, friendly village lots of restaurants and shops. Little supermarket which stocks a wide variety of things. Antonis was very helpful and responded to all our queries quickly. Villa was cleaned everyday, towels replaced etc. it’s really well managed. If you are looking for a peaceful get away with fabulous views and close enough to a village then this is for you.

With a direct view of Spinalonga Island, 5-10 min walking distance to Plaka village with a lot of Restaurants and the beach. Our family of 4 enjoyed it very much. A swift and very friendly communication with the owner family, a daily service for cleaning and pool makes this more a premium hotel standard. Thank you. The house is easily for 6 people with three bed- and two bathrooms. Plentiful of space. A pool and the garden, the terrasse and the view - just wonderful. Everything is like advertise and the atmosphere is even more. The ride from the airport takes 45min-1h from Heraklion. 20 min to Agios Nikelaous. To the south around 1,5-2h drive. It is situated nicely in the hills but in easy walking distance to Plaka Beach. So thanks for this wonderful place. Bound to return.

Well appointed villa, the location is perfect and the views over Spinalonga and the bay were spectacular. Outdoor space in particular was amazing with spacious covered seating area outside the living space and a very large terrace around the pool. Antonis and the owners were very helpful and quick to respond when it came to any questions we had. Lots of beaches and history to explore in the area, car recommended. If you wanted to just relax and stay put in Plaka, there are lots of bars/restaurants to choose from and easy to access boats to Spinalonga and further afield from Plaka. The driveway up to the Villa on foot is steep, I think if you had small children or elderly relatives in your party that could be a bit challenging for some.
